ikebana.

So my mother has this huge thing for flower-arranging. She joined some kind of group called "Ikebana**" about a year or two ago, and has loved it since. They meet once or twice a month and get taught different types of flower arranging, most of them being quite simple and oriental, since it IS an Asian thing.

Nowadays, my mom goes to meetings only occasionally, but buys whatever interesting/out-of-the-ordinary flower/plant/etc she sees while she's out shopping and brings it home to create her own arrangements. I enjoy experimenting with different angles on whatever product she ends up with...&& they're pretty to see around the house too. (:

** Ikebana = flower arrangement in Japanese.
