Still Life - contemporary

So we had to produce a contemporary still life and develop a concept (or idea) that explores a particular notion, issue or agenda. At this point it is obvious I am not an artist nor am I gifted with an understanding of allegorical meanings.

This little composition is a homage to my new life as a student. In one of the more obscure symbolisms a rose is associated with wisdom and a fish is symbolic of knowledge. Maybe in three years I will gain a little knowledge and wisdom.
