Happy Birthday Bayo!

Balian's first birthday! Can't quite believe it, it's like he's always been here. Being in hospital last year with him seems so very long ago.
Nice morning of present playing (with Nathaniel's help) and leisurely breakfast. Then Balian's wonder week leap/cold/ear infection/ teething grumpiness kicked in. Thankfully fixed with an early nap, but meant my plan of making a giraffe print Swiss roll was abandoned. Had a fun lunch with the swim group. Balian loved his chocolate cake, shovelling it in with his whole hand. Nathaniel signalled it was nap time by climbing into a toy box with cushions and almost falling asleep! Late naps all round,
Quiet afternoon of present play and Disney films, weather pretty horrid and we are all very tired.
