Last week we got a letter offering another 12 months in our lovely house (hoorah!), with a little note also telling us there will be an inspection next week. So that's an offer of lease extension, without having had a single inspection this year. We really must seem like trustworthy responsible people.

But I guess the fact that much of today was spent cleaning things is evidence of how much we care.

Floors are washed, lawn mowed, kitchen cleaned (with the champion Bridget even tackling the extractor fan filter), bathroom sparkling. Tomorrow this mess will be undergoing some serious refinement, and I have vague thoughts about dusting some surfaces. That might be a little too much though.
