A Low Energy Christmas...
The day started with a phone call to say that C had won a raffle for a Gingrerbread House by the Tobermory Bakery in aid of collecting funds to go towards the Tobermory Christmas Lights. In the end we decided to donate the house...
Next stop the glass barn and everything from Christmas wreaths, locally made ice cream (great flavours) baskets, pottery, cards and honey to name a few goodies.
I loved the ingenious use of materials, including pictures made from beach finds, recycled gold and silver jewellery and my favourite recycled low energy light bulbs as Christmas Tree decorations. Of course the low energy bulbs are a perfect shape for Father Christmas, Snowmen and penguins! After seeing the depressing news reports of Black Friday sales, it was lovely to support a local event with music, goodies and pig racing!
