Marching!

Well, this evening contained a rather unusual activity for AfroCat as she "marched" around the city with the Reclaim The Night campaign.

The march was organised by WRASAC ... an organisation which AfroCat (through her involvement with Alternatives Crisis Pregnancy Centre) has volunteered alongside in the past at their ViceVersa outreach project with street workers.

The march was to raise awareness of specific types of violence / exploitation of women .... for a damp dreich evening it was pretty well supported!

It was good to see some of the ViceVersa team that I've not seen for a while!

Some of this work touches on areas of life where we see that slavery has far from ended ... it just looks a bit different these days!!
