Attention to detail

My involvement with road running races gives me a good eye for detail.

So when I enter a race I can be a bit picky...

The organisers of the Wesham 10k that I did today were paying attention to detail before I even entered.

I got a text asking me if I wanted number 51 as the race was on my birthday and it's now my age.

How could I refuse such attention to detail.

Superb organisation, coupled with ideas I will be putting into my own pre race briefings at races, and a great atmosphere, all added to a great race.

They even organised beautiful sunshine for us.

By the afternoon the weather had become cold and cloudy for the match at AFC FYLDE.

We won, I got a card and cakes, and I got to choose our man of the match. AFC FYLDE also pays attention to small details that give people memorable moments.

My thanks to Wesham Road Runners and AFC FYLDE for making my day even better than I'd hoped.

I'm home now enjoying some of the wine I received for my birthday.
