River of Flowers

Trafalgar Square, London

Up early and after a cooked breakfast we started walking towards the City. Went past the old Smithfield market then on to St Paul's where we stopped for a quick look around.

Continued and found our way down to Blackfriars Bridge, where we left the bustle by walking along the river bank. Crossed the Hungerford Bridge, and decided to have a break and a cup of tea at The British Film institute.

Refreshed we doubled back on ourselves Nd crossed Westminster Bridge - it was unbelievably crowded so we took a side street down to St. James's Park where we watched the squirrels, geese and pelicans being fed by tourists.

I thought Trafalgar Square very attractive with the blue sky, today's blip in the can!!

Along the Strand and time for lunch at Café Nero, the to the map shop and Covent Garden. I was looking for new walking boots but had become lacking in patience by now.

Taxi back to the hotel and a bit of planning as to dinner. Both of is fancied a curry and took the bus up to Islington and the MasalaZone, excellent meal as always!

Bus back to the Barbican, glass of wine at the same pub as last night then back to the hotel, exhausted.

Goodnight all x
