Sunny Corbridge

Been to Corbridge with my sister and nephew. We had bags of fun browsing around all the arty crafty twee little shops.

Had lunch in a hilarious pub which seemed to be hosting a convention for Northumberland's clumsiest people (I would fit in well). Suppressed our chuckles whilst watching people tripping up the step as they entered (despite there being a large sign warning customers to "mind the step"). Others unwittingly chucked their pints over people's laps.

We ordered drinks and three panini, however after much conflab were told there might not be panini, we might have to have "crusty paves"(?), and they don't do the tuna melt so we might have to have ham and cheese (whether you like ham and cheese or not, presumably). I loved the quirkiness of the place.

Eventually we were indeed served with three tuna melt panini, fit for a leprechaun (truly the world's smallest sandwiches), doled out by a barman who cheerfully remarked, "mind you, those paninis don't look very nice!"

Fantastic. I'm going back next week.
