Worlds within worlds...
I am always fascinated by the fact that there are so many worlds within our world and last night was no exception. I was treated to a George Formby extravaganza at The Imperial Hotel, Blackpool. The George Formby Society was formed in 1961, the year the "cheeky chappie" died. Seriously, it was a lovely evening and if you would like to enjoy a sample please CLICK HERE. With heartfelt gratitude to my friend and mentor Mr Rupert "Ukele" Bayfield for inviting me and the missus to a night we'll never forget!
PS - The Imperial Hotel is also famous for hosting National Conferences for both the Labour Party and the Conservative party and the bottom right blip shows two ornate mirrors in the Number 10 bar (aptly named) engraved with the names Blair & Major being the last two UK Prime Ministers who used the hotel for their conferences.
