Stork

This is the emblem of Alsace and a number of the stalls were selling Christmas decorations of the Stork (Cigogne)

On our last day visiting Stephen we enjoyed a walk around Petite
France which is centred around the old port of Strasbourg. The old half timbered buildings painted in a range of colours and styles were fascinating to walk amongst.

We then visited the Christmas markets to buy a few souvenirs for Christmas. Sampling the Marrons (roasted Chestnuts) and some spiced hot red wine before returning to Stephen's flat for a meal and to collect items to bring back home.

So pleased we came to visit and thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring the sights, sounds and flavours of this part of France.
