Dunmill Lock Pill Box.

This Pill Box is part of the Blue Line or Ironside Line which stretched from Semington (West Wiltshire) to Theale (East Berkshire). These defences were hastily erected after the defeat at Dunkirk in May 1940 and were intended to prevent German armoured columns from "cutting loose" in Britain as they had in France.
