Festive Weekend
I was too tired to Blip yesterday.
L.B. And I have been together for a year, more or less neither of us really remember when we got together, so we vaguely set a date. Anyhow we decided to celebrate with a jaunt to London.
On the way to Trafalgar Square, I dragged L.B. To the Japan Centre to grab a hand roll. It is the best I have ever tried, the nori is still crisp and delicate while the rice sticky and the prawn filling succulent. Mouth watering in recollection. Mmmm!
We went to the South Bank and wandered around the Christmas market there, eating and drinking lots of yummy things. Best find was a Swedish meatball stand!
After the South Bank, we wandered up to Covent Garden to have a look around at the Christmas stalls. There's an amazing Lego sculpture of Father Christmas and his reindeer.
We spent the rest of the day wandering around the British Museum. Mostly the Egyptian floor, leading across to European hoards. We even managed to see the Rosetta Stone; I had no idea how big it was! Some really beautiful and awe inspiring treasures.
Happy Anniversary L.B. The first of many more I hope.
