first Solo Walk to the mailbox

I got my cane and walked carefully out to the mailbox today. It is at th street edge not that far from the garage door.
When Gracie t-t saw me going outside she thought we were going to play in the frozen garden. She ran up to the cane and checked it out... here she is.
But, no extra play time, alas.
Little by little I am returning to an upstanding and walking human being.
