New tree

A managed to dig a hole through the 'soil' (aka builders' rubble) and avoid the mains and the Virgin media cable and we finally got the tree in. Mountain ash - quite excited, as it's pretty big already, just hope it manages the ropey conditions.

Rest of the day's achievements included planting 16 strawberries at the allotment, creating several hama bead snowflakes, supervising Santa potato-prints and brewing a vat of chicken and red pepper curry. All good fun. Lovely to see S too - the last time she was here she introduced me to the wonderful world of blip, so it was great to reflect on that - it makes a real difference to keeping in touch.
