Dixon Family Christmas
And so it begins.....
The girls elf arrived today, and with it, Santa left them a singing Christmas Tree. We explained to the girls that Santa must have left that for Ruby as her Christmas wish to Santa was something for the family and not at all greedy.
The girls were so excited to see the singing and dancing Christmas Tree! And the excitement carried on when they opened their box from Santa. Their elf had arrived with chocolate coins that Aj was quick to swipe out of the box.
They sat and read the letter from Santa and learnt that they have all got behaviour charts to complete as well as one for their elf.
Between them, the girls decided to name their elf Tiny. So far today, Tiny has been dancing to the musical Christmas tree with Aj, doing gymnastics with DM, having a cuddle with Rubels and occasionally been allowed a moment with Pops.
We spent the day cleaning the lounge, getting the Christmas tree up and putting up all the decorations.
Before we had our girls, we would put our Christmas tree up about two weeks before the big day. Then when we started having children it was brought forward to 1st December (or as near as possible). We've decided to do ours today as weekdays for is at the moment are constant and tiring.
We had a lovely time decorating the tree and making paper chains.
Aj hasn't been too well and has been very tearful and accident prone throughout the day. All being well, her early night and a good sleep will help her to feel better in the morning.
I've had a fabulous evening with a friend tonight a local groups Market and Make it evening. I made a new sleeps till Christmas sign, candle in a decorated jar and an edible snowman.
I've had a few preparations to help Tiny with, so that he is well behaved when we're in bed.
Christmas for the Dixon Family is going to be extremely magical this year! :)
