Salt glazed pottery
A stay at home day today. This piece of pottery was left to me by my sister and was made by her son who is a professional potter. It sits near my front door although my sister stored her rolled oats in it. I decided it needed to be photographed outside and chose to sit it in the branches of a tree which had died and which I had finally cut down.
The salt glaze and earthy tones are my sort of colours and it looks different every time you look at it. I would leave it out in the garden if I thought it was safe there but for now its back inside.
