Here it is, my favourite David Austin rose........
GRAHAM THOMAS.
The flowers are of a deeply cupped formation in a glorious rich, pure gold - BUT BEST OF ALL - it is very healthy & flowers prolifically. The growth is very strong & the leaves are reminiscent of those of 'Iceberg', which is one of its parents. ( X with Charles Austin) It is a fabulous rose. Even Mr Austin writes that it is one of his best, & he should know.
I also grow 'Golden Celebration' which is quite similar but wouldn't hold a candle to Graham Thomas. No siree. Stick with G.T. & you won't go wrong. Thank you David Austin, next time I have tea with the Queen, I will mention your knighthood.
