Pebbles and shells
After a long spell of dull, grey weather, we've finally had an extended period of sunshine. Happy days.
So, with the sunshine beckoning, I had a productive day today.
I headed out along the coast to visit my favourite bakery, and along the way stopped at one of the many local beaches for a quick wander. The pebbles and shells that crunched underfoot became my blip by default; unfortunately, whenever I try to capture a photo that combines a bright sky and a darker foreground, half of the image ends up disastrously under- or over-exposed. I don't know whether this is due to the limitations of my little camera or (equally likely) my own lack of skill with the camera, but I'm finding it very frustrating.
Later today I had an expensive trip to a local garden centre, where I began stocking up on the necessary gardening accoutrements. It's a good thing the wee garden gives so much pleasure; I can almost overlook the pain at the till! :)
