'Tis the season....

The 1st of December, twenty four days until Christmas so it's time to get into the Christmas spirit and not groan when you hear a Christmas carol, see yet another display of baubles and tinsel or a magazine article about what you should be buying for Christmas. Right? No quite, too much still to do to before the end of the year and that Christmas spirit has not fallen on our household yet.

I thought this would get me into the Christmas spirit. The leaves were marked and motley, so my first few shots with off camera side lighting seemed to reveal those imperfections even more. I settled for a direct full flash to make those leaves shiny and succulent (and not horrible and spotted).

Gavin is back in New York this week, his last trip for the year. Thomas is pleased his school exams are over and is busy rehearsing for the Christmas Concert on Friday night, and Adam is preparing for his Cambridge interview which is next week.
