December Dawn

Sunrise here on the first day of December didn't have the fiery beauty of Lady Findhorn's dawn in Edinburgh, but it provided the prettiest sky I've seen in several days.

Under less chilly conditions, I would have gone out on the back deck to get a full view of the sky, but the deck was covered in frost, so I opted for taking this out our guest room window.

I hope to cross off a number of items on my holiday "to do" list this afternoon, including checking on my Blipfoto-inspired Christmas cake/fruitcake. Three members of the celebratory tulip quintet pictured with the finished cake here and more closely the following day are still with us, shriveling into interesting shapes. You may see them yet again...
