Food for thought

While in Copenhagen last month, I got a real taste for spelt bread. Found some in Waitrose (is there anything they DON'T sell?)

As well as tasting lovely is good for you too!
It's easily digested as it has a high water solubility. It contains more protein, fats and crude fibre than wheat and also has large amounts of Vitamin B17 (anti-carcinoma). It also contains special carbohydrates which play a decisive role in blood clotting and stimulate the body’s immune system so as to increase its resistance to infection.

So this was my morning breakfast, poached eggs on toasted spelt bread.

Super way to start the day. But as I'm no angel, I'll probably be cruising the cupboards for naughty snacks later.........
