Tick Tock, Or Not

This is one very stubborn clock. It flat refuses to tell the correct time. For years it told the time that it wanted to and chimed at random intervals too (with no relationship to the displayed time). Since then it has been sent for repair many times but even though it has been seen working perfectly, it then stops completely on returning home. I believe this shows a strength of character that it won't be told how to behave.
