Shepherd's warning

Spent the morning working with cattle. Went over to give the weaned spring calves their second pneumonia vaccine jag. Then picked out another 3 heifers for the Christmas sale tomorrow and gave them a tidy up hair cut.
Only down side was that where the cattle crush is next door is in an old stone steading. There is not much natural daylight gets in ,so when trying to belly clip a black beast in the shadows from the over head strip lights,I had to resort to someone holding a torch so I could see. (That's my excuse for uneven lines ! )
The sunrise this morning was stunning for about 5 minutes then the cloud went back to grey. If I had a proper camera you might have been able to make out the collie dog weather vane on top of the cart shed a bit better !
