Jet of Iada

Memorial to Jet of Iada. Born in Liverpool in July 1942, he was a black Alsatian. He was awarded the Dickin Medal on January 12, 1945 for saving the lives of over fifty people trapped in bombed buildings. He died in October 1949 and is buried close to this memorial in Calderstones Park, Liverpool
