Calton Road
I spoke of the ephemeral nature of my subject matter today with a couple of blip persons; and the problems it presented.
This one has presented a different problem. I have seen as often as any other; it's near my place of employment (I hate using the word 'work' because I'm not sure I do) and every time I have passed it, there has been a car parked right in front of it.
Dear viewer, that does not make for the most riveting of blips.
So as I left work today - Cigless - as the National Museum of Scotland did not present a Cigs blip opportunity to me - I wandered off down Calton Road - and lo! This one for once did not have a car there.
Sadly I was too slow to blip a long exposure shot of a running club with all manner of illuminated Santa hats and Christmas lights, but I did manage to nail this one finally.
See the headlights coming up the street. Guess where it parked....?
Yup....
Black spray paint on parking meter; single underline, block capitals, no date.
And a Deli across the top for good measure. Tomorrow - the Southside.
