Poinsettias

This is the first image from what I am certain will be an ongoing project, my attempts to capture the fields of poinsettias for sale at our local traffic circle. This is the same area where piñatas are made and sold, but at this moment the place belongs to this indigenous Christmas flower. I like the interplay of light and shadow on the red leaves, but feel there is a better time to get this shot. We were buying today on our way back from the airport after bidding our son and his wife good bye. The bright red plants helped cheer us up, as did a later visit with our Canadian friends to watch the 102nd edition of the Grey Cup football game.
