Life with The Pinks

Christmas Windows

Mr Pink was a little bit poorly today. He also had the wrong coat. The coat belonged to his friend and contained friend's keys. Friend had to break into his house and set off the burglar alarm. Just your average boy's night out ??

Anyway, I took friend's coat to town to return it, and took the mini pinks with me to get some overdue jobs done. We went to the opticians, where Miss Pink chose two new pairs of very cute glasses and Master Pink had an eye test. His eyes so far haven't inherited his parents poor eye sight! Hoorah.

We had cake, and then later a late lunch for the mini pinks! We went to build-a-bear to spend birthday money. Bobby the bear now has a fetching Christmas Jumper to wear and Flutty the butterfly has a rather gorgeous Elsa dress.

We got some supplies from the fabric shop, and the mini pinks were entertained by the waistcoat man who as well as being a shop assistant is also a magician! I think they rather liked that.

As we left the town was preparing for the Christmas lights switch on. There was a samba band playing , and the pantos Cinderella was in her glass carriage. We couldn't get very close to the action so we headed back to the Williams and Griffin windows. When I was little it was always a big thing to see the windows unveiled. They made a really big thing of it back in the day. Nostalgia aside, the mini pinks were suitably impressed by cute animated polar bears and spinning Ferris wheel.

We came home to a still poorly Daddy, and a rather excitable Peppa.
