Light and Rain

A big storm is coming to the west coast, which of course is much needed, as CA is still in a big drought.

Out for a run on the beach, the rain started. It still feels enough of a novelty here that it's easily bearable. I quite like the drama of the light.

But the prospect of returning home is getting very real now, and I am not looking forward to having rain as the norm, not the novelty.

I'm trying to think of the upside, but maybe it just is what it is. There's always sadness in endings.
