couch and table

A follow up blip post on our new couch! You saw a re-print of a store photo of the couch in my journal. You also saw the table Steve and I created together, here. It was not quite done then. Now both pieces are here/finished and located where we spend time together almost every night. We usually have dinner while watching a program or a movie via netflex or amazon. It's our ritual, our time to relax together. 

Steven finished the table a little differently this time and I absolutely love it! After putting on 2 coats of epoxy and letting that dry, he put on a couple of coats of spray polyurethane. I really love the matte finish and my experience tonight was that moisture from glasses or spills from dinner don't matter . . . it looks fabulous! Steven thinks it's a perfect fit for the new couch and he's right, the table looks like it was made for it. Steven did make this table, but that was 2 years ago for a different love seat. Anyway, we  are pleased as punch and I am finally caught up here! You can use the arrow on the left side of the photo or the calendar to work back if you have time and missed any posts.
