B.A.C.K. to Basics

Last to Fall

I drove to Augusta to get some shopping done today, and was surprised to find one stretch of Rte. 27 still holding onto leaves and autumn color. The rest of our trees have been bare for about a week as winds and rain stripped whatever was still holding on. These trees must be a bit more protected and still had ample coverage and color.

Always a beautiful stretch of road, but today, It really was impressive.

p.s. - I was very safe taking this image while driving ... as you can see, there was no one else on the road and no one was behind me. Slowed down, snapped the pic, and away I went.
