Welsh Kitty Chappell

Beautiful sunny day - which showed up all the dust in the house so I thought I ought to do some housework:-( It was far too cold to work in the garden anyway! I see from the Met Office report that it was the coldest night of the year - certainly it is the first time this year I've had o scrape the ice off my windscreen.

Just to help me through housework I loaded some CDs. My favourite Welsh singer, Dorothy Squires, was singing "My Way" - she sings it with much more passion than Frank Sinatra. You can listen to it now by clicking HERE! It was my Mother's favourite song and she sang it often - so I found an early photograph of her and blipped it. I think it must have been taken during the 1930s according to her dress. She was very Welsh with fascinating blue eyes like many Welsh people have. Although she spent the last 60 years of her life in Scotland she still regarded it as a foreign country LOL! She never lost her Welsh accent, which was more pronounced when she was emotional over something!
