Collecting dust?

This china was my mum's. The floral pattern is actually her wedding china from her "chief bridesmaid" Charlotte. My mum and dad got married on 2nd July 1948 and had been married 49 1/2 years when she died on 2nd January 1998. My dad died the following year, he never really got over losing her. Anyway the two of them were a great pair, very loving to me and my brothers, and later to our partners and then to their grandchildren who they enjoyed so much. Both of them had a great sense of social justice and were always concerned about the less fortunate people in society. For people of their generation they were very open minded and had a really wide circle of friends.

So every time I have a clear out this china gets washed and dried and put back to collect dust for another year.
