Black Arab

The original name (or one of the older names) of Bristol Rovers - "The Black Arabs".

The pub serving this beer is the Star Inn, in Fishponds.

I believe that it was where the club was founded, so when it was taken over by the new owners this year (the Nailsworth Brewery) they created a lovely porter just for the pub.

I'm falling in love with the pub, and went in tonight before getting a Chinese takeway for tea.

They have a huge stash of old vinyl, and a turntable on the bar - so I got to choose U2 - The Unforgettable Fire.

A nice proper pub, and a lovely beer.
