The Craft Fair
Spent the day wandering the enormous National Crafts and Design Fair in Dublin emulating a hungry sponge absorbing as many ideas as I could. Bought enough enough handmade soaps to keep me going quite a while. Also wood turned boarwood and yew. From a Hungarian woman I got crochet angels and a crib made of corn husks, all handmade by her. On the way to the fair I collected, from a craftsman friend, a handmade leather belt I designed with celtic inscriptions to replace the belt I've worn more or less daily for over forty years. He has it now in for repair...
The myriad of ideas I got will keep me going over the next few months. I look forward to the challenge.....just saying
