It is surprisingly hard to take one of the cliched shots of old cars in Cuba these days, because so often a Lada or something will intrude into the shot.

Yesterday's picture of pelicans against a cloudy sky suggested that is isn't always sunny in paradise and today it poured down, so we headed into Varadero.

What could have been a miserable day was saved by the food and atmosphere at Ranchon Bellamar Undoubtedly the best meal of our whole trip.
