Snap shots of life

Work again

I loved teaching art when in class, I don't really get an opportunity anymore.
I love encouraging children to be creative, not reproduce an identical copy.

I'm in a nursery one day a week and I haven't tried anything like this because I was told it was always too primary school.

I took a deep breath and decided to try and make a Christmas fireplace with the children. Unfortunately most children didn't know what it was until I showed them pictures and sang, "When Santa got stuck up the chimney"

Each child designed a brick, cut it out and we glued it on. Some used glitter and other bits from the nursery. My special moment was when a child, who kept tapping me for help with the cello tape, finally stopped and repeated "help me please". Repetition does wonders.

We also put our tree up today, early, however as we are going away home for Christmas we won't be here for 10 days!!
