PLANNER

I'm heading south tomorrow for a couple of nights to see my Mum (and sister, and new great-niece). Every year I make her a year planner with all the family birthdays and anniversaries, bank holidays, clock changes and Pancake Day marked up on it, and with photos of dear old Dad on his birthday and their wedding anniversary. I'll sticky-tape all the sheets together and it eventually covers a large part of one of her kitchen walls. She always tells me it's the most useful present she gets every year, which makes Christmas easier for me (but I bet she says that to all her daughters!)
