The debris collector
Not a particularly amazing image, but a very interesting bug, that I have only seen a few times and always find hard to get a decent image of (due to having to get so close because it's so small and the therefore reduced depth of field, making it's debris collection out of focus).
This a debris collecting lacewing larvae - all the stuff on its back is debris (in this case, stamens from the parsley flowers it is inhabiting). I have seen them covered in other stuff in other parts of the garden. Basically, they cover themselves in whatever is in their local environment, as a cunning disguise to get in amongst their prey (e.g., aphids) without detection! They are very small and hard to see unless they're moving.
Parsley flowers are full of tiny bugs!
I think you'll need to go large to even see it!
