National Day

Fireworks, national pride, and gridlocked traffic. So this is what National Day's all about! It's been in my conscience ever since I stepped into the country. You're constantly reminded at every turn. So we left work early and went to the super posh Fairmont to watch the fireworks over the bridge. I was more taken aback by the huge screen of the military parade that was taking place, and seeing my previous 2 weeks work all over the place..! It's the most surrealist experience of my 'career', that's for sure.
