Yay!

Yes,  he came by!  I got a wonderful crocheted hat,  a nice little box and a chocolate letter.  B for Bibliotheek (= library). Oddly enough the old man wrapped my hat and box in Irish wrapping paper. .. Thank you,  Irish Sinterklaas!

Chocolate letters are a typical gift for this occasion.  Of course usually it's the initial of your first name.
