Pretty Pâtisserie

I'm on a slightly obsessive quest to make perfect French Macarons. I've tried 4 times and so far have had 2 successes. This is my latest attempt using a completely different recipe, which worked, but came out with a really thick batter - a previous problem having been a lose mix which meant they spread into one giant macaron - so this time I didn't get that iconic macaron shape. Which is disappointing but who cares, they still taste nice and make a nice treat for my mum this Mothering Sunday.

Plus they are so pretty in all their colourful glory. So a perfect start to my attempt at using Blipfoto.
