Vineyard Edge

I know I've done several vineyards recently but we are surrounded by them and tend to walk past - or through - them every day. They're especially striking now the leaves have yellowed and I liked the way the blue on the posts (Bordeaux Mix, aka copper sulphate, used as a fungicide) was echoed in the mistiness beyond.

You can probably see how the ground is covered in a dense carpet of weeds, which soon grow up after the paths between the vines have been ploughed. Many of these are still producing flowers, so in the absence of new blooms in the garden, I think I'll start a series on wildflowers observed in vineyards!
