Twilight and first snow
The old road between Puck's Glen and Benmore Gardens was already very dark by the time we got out today (I was making the Christmas cake), but the last light seemed to linger on the hills at the mouth of Glen Massan, where the powdery snow on the north-facing slopes reminded us - as if we needed reminding - that the temperature was only 2ºC and we needed to keep walking.
Now there's a wonderful moon - but apparently it will rain tomorrow.
