How very dare you?

Today's the day ....................... to have fun with a robin

We visited the National Trust house Wallington, near Morpeth in Northumberland today.

The house itself wasn't open but the extensive gardens were - including the walled garden with its conservatory and greenhouses. We had the lovely warm conservatory, full of exotic flowering plants all to ourselves. Or at least - all to ourselves, apart from a very inquisitive robin.

It didn't seem in the slightest bit afraid of us and stayed close, perched on the back of a chair. Will has a birdsong app on his phone and he played the robin one. We have no idea what was being said in robin language but we couldn't help laughing at its reaction.

It must have been something quite outrageous ................!
