Honey and Mead day

Today it was an exceptional teaching day. My students are awesome, I learn something new from them every day. But this day day was a special sweet one. One of my PhD students had a presentation on mead analysis using HPLC and other sophisticated methods. Her aim is to change the Czech legislative system to make sure only high quality mead can be sold in our country. As a part of her presentation she brought a jar of homemade honey and a bottle of mead for all of us to taste. They both tasted delicious and the learning atmosphere was immediately very Christmassy :) have a lovely second advent weekend peeps.
