Elf Gloop

This morning Skipper brought some ingredients to make Elf gloop: glitter (of course), cornstarch, peppermint oil, pretty glass stones and green water. The kids really loved this and played with it for ages! Yes, it was quite messy...

Just a snippet from a 'you know you're a home educator when...' moment today: We were eating lunch when Chickpea asked "What if the sun slipped out of the sky and fell into our house?" This somehow turned into a full (poorly executed) demo of the earth's rotation using a yellow plate for the sun, a piece of corn for the Earth and sequin for the Earth's moon. Use what you got, eh?
