Lothian Bridge Viaduct

Certainly a lot colder today. Spent part of the morning sorting out cattle for the market on Monday. After a tidy up haircut they looked half presentable. They get their heads clipped,a wide strip along the middle of the back to help show off how finished they are and the most dangerous bit is clipping the belly, brisket and knees clean. This needs to be done from a food hygiene point of view before slaughter but you need quick reactions and to keep your head well out the way of their feet. Whats life without a bit of danger !
Had to got to the vet's to collect some drugs. While sitting at the traffic lights I began to study the viaduct. Built in 1847 and 1/2 a Km long it is a thing of beauty. I bet the new bridges they are building on the Borders Railway won't be fit to carry trains after 167 years !
