Fingerprints

It has reached that time of year when finding a blip is nearly impossible as it is dark in the morning when I leave for work, and nearly dark when I come home....so I am afraid I have to improvise!
Today's blip is a fingerprint of bacteria growing on an agar plate.
I guess looking at this you will all realise just how important it is to wash your hands regularly and properly!
Each little dot is a bacterial colony, and all from one finger dab! - amazing!!
I do love my job, even if I do have to murder the bugs later in the autoclave.
Hopefully steam train hunting tomorrow, so light permitting........
