Fenwicks Christmas window 2014

Visiting Fenwicks Christmas window is a local tradition.
In 1971 the Newcastle department store started making displays in their 30foot window and have revealed a different theme each year since which attracts queues of families waiting to view it. The window is revealed at the end of November and marks the start of the festive period. The window display is lit up and has moving parts, best viewed in the evening. This year the theme is Alice in Wonderland. The themes change each year but sometimes repeat (but with a different display). Alice and wonderland already made an appearance in 1993 and 1981. The nativity and a Christmas Carol has also been repeated.
